Mother’s Day
Mother's Day was a powerful reminder of the strength and love women embody. We honor the mothers who shape society and celebrate their contributions to a greater world. This past Mother's Day, we not only express gratitude for the mothers in our lives but also recommit ourselves to the ongoing pursuit of gender equality and women's empowerment, ensuring that every woman has the opportunity to thrive and make a lasting impact on the world.
Haiti’s national flag day
Haiti's National Flag Day is a momentous occasion that commemorates not only the flag itself but also the rich history and vibrant culture that have shaped this incredible nation. On the 18th of May in 1803, Haiti's flag was hoisted for the first time, marking the establishment of the first republic in the Caribbean. As we celebrated Haiti's National Flag Day, we paid homage to the resilience, courage, and determination of the Haitian people. May this day serve as a reminder of the extraordinary history and culture that have shaped Haiti into the remarkable nation it is today.
A Night for Haiti
A Night for Haiti was filled with the inspiring word of Nina Aouilk and captivating performances by Laurie Fleurentin, who mesmerized the audience with their talent and passion. The ambiance was electric as guests immersed themselves in the vibrant colors, rhythms, and traditions of Haitian culture.
The event served as a beacon of hope, reminding everyone of the importance of gender equality and community resilience. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the supporters, partners, and donors who made this event possible. Together, you made a significant impact in supporting Womenful Voice and their tireless efforts to uplift Haitian women, foster community resilience, and drive societal progress. We thank you!
Menstruation project
Since 2022, our Menstruation is Power Program has made significant strides in reaching out to the community. We have successfully engaged with over 12 schools, impacting the lives of more than 380 individuals. Through our comprehensive program, consisting of four sessions held this May, we were able to empower women to embrace their bodies and cultivate a sense of ownership over their menstrual health. We believe in encouraging them to transcend the limitations often associated with menstruation. By combining educational sessions with the distribution of reusable menstrual cups, we aim to empower women and girls to make informed choices about their bodies while simultaneously reducing the environmental impact of disposable menstrual products.
Through our efforts, we aspire to create a society where menstruation is understood, respected, and embraced as a natural and powerful aspect of womanhood. Please join us to create a world where menstruation is celebrated for its power.
Upcoming Initiatives
In our ongoing commitment to make a difference, we are excited to announce the launch of our Scholarship Program in July. This initiative is dedicated to providing essential educational support to underprivileged children in Haiti, breaking barriers to education and fostering a brighter future. We will tailor scholarships to meet the specific needs of each student. Our aim is to empower these young minds and create equal opportunities for education, but our program goes beyond academics. As part of our holistic approach, each student will also be encouraged to nurture a tree, promoting environmental consciousness and instilling a sense of responsibility towards nature.
